In this case, the formula to calculate the air flow rate of the hoods.<\/p>\n

Well, formulas<\/strong>. There are more than one…<\/p>\n

Nothing difficult, per se.
\nWe don’t have to bother Gauss or Kepler about it.<\/p>\n

But it’s still an important calculation, and it’s best left to the experts.<\/p>\n

Also because it does not lead to a certain and univocal value: it is always necessary to refine<\/em> the results, and consider other variables, which unfortunately are many and different, as we will see.<\/p>\n

Precisely for this reason we will not go into specifics.<\/p>\n

Every installer has his own method (and we certainly don’t want to bypass them).<\/p>\n

And, as I wrote above, there are many, too many, \u201cifs<\/em>\u201d and \u201cbuts<\/em>\u201d\u2026.<\/p>\n

So, let’s instead analyze what parameters you may need to calculate the necessary air flow:<\/p>\n

First of all, the volume<\/em> of the room, be it kitchen or other.<\/p>\n

The flow rate can be calculated so that it satisfies said volume multiplied by a number ranging from 5 to 10 times (or… no!)<\/p>\n

The perimeter<\/em> of the hood, i.e. width and depth.<\/p>\n

The dimensions of the slots<\/em> can also be taken into consideration (taking into account the filters…).<\/p>\n

And then: capture speed<\/em>, distance<\/em> of the hood from the thermal sources, geometry<\/em> of the hood itself, type of cooking<\/em>, smoke plume<\/em>.<\/p>\n

And let’s not complicate our lives with disturbing currents<\/em>…<\/p>\n

In short, it is better to combine theory with practice.<\/p>\n

Use ideal formulas (everyone has their “favorite”), to be smoothed out with empirical observations.<\/p>\n
